Lions and Warriors
November 21, 2011
WK is being used to help conserve lions in Kenya as part of the Ewaso Lions project. This a grassroots project whose mission is to promote the conservation of lions through research and community-based outreach programmes. Ewaso Lions investigates the factors affecting the population dynamics of lions in and around the Ewaso Nyiro ecosystem in northern Kenya. Part of the project (Warrior Watch) seeks to engage warriors as wildlife ambassadors by reporting on wildlife sightings and issues such as conflict.
