When you use the website to create WildMaps, WildForms, WildImages or WildKeys, we may also collect the following information:

  • images, video clips and audio clips to enhance the WildMaps, WildForms, WildImages or WildKeys you create

WildKnowledge is used in schools and other organisations where students/children may use our products.

However, we do not knowingly store personal information about children who use our website or smart apps and moreover, we do not use our products to knowingly solicit data from or market to, children under the age of 13.

If a parent/guardian or teacher becomes aware that his/her child or student has provided us with personal information without their consent, or inappropriate information which requires deletion, please contact us.

When registering with the website to use our products we absolutely encourage the teacher or parent/guardian to be the person who provides registration/account information and becomes the account 'admin' user. As well as the 'admin' user, an account can have many 'regular' users and children should use our products as one of these 'regular' account users for which no further personal registration/account data collection is required.

When it is known that children are using our products, the teacher or parent/guardian should, as a matter of the utmost importance, make children aware of the dangers of submitting inappropriate or offensive media such as images, video, audio or text via our website or smart apps.

 

WildKnowledge Smart Apps (Apple and Android)

What we collect

N.b.If one of our smart apps requires you to register before use then this registration process will happen via this WildKnowledge website. For information regarding data collected via the website, please see the 'WildKnowledge Website' section of the Privacy Policy above.

Our smart apps can collection of the following device information:

  • CAMERA
    This permission will allow our smart app to access the device camera for capturing new or existing image/video from the device for uploading to the website.
  • GPS/LOCATION
    This permission will allow our smart app to access the device GPS location of the device for uploading to the website. N.b. this is not real-time GPS location data but rather a 'snapshot' GPS location taken at the time a user decides to upload their data to the website.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to facilitate:

  • the collection of image/video and GPS location data associated with smart app data-capture forms
  • GPS location data can then be used to plot captured form data spacially upon a map for user analysis
